"Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the fatherless."

"I looked..." - Psalm 142:4 "...No man..." - Alone
When you feel that you have nobody. "...No man cared..." - Apathy
Even in a crowd you can feel alone. "...There was no man that would know me..."
(i.e. no one would identify with me). "...No man cared for my soul..." - Abandoned
People may interact in business, or at some shallow level, but the most important thing about you is ignored / forsaken. Your soul = your inner-man.
Note Psalm 142:4: "I looked on my right hand..." Do you have a "right-hand man"? "...Refuge failed me..." Who is really looking out for you?
"I cried..." - Psalm 142:1-3 The LORD knows my path (Job 23:10; Psalm 46:1). The LORD cares (Psalm 142:5-6 cp. I Peter 5:7; Jeremiah 33:3).
He is interested in your inner-man (Psalm 51:6 cp. Ephesians 3:14-19). Christ cares
He will save your soul (Luke 19:10 cp. Ezekiel 34:11-16,30-31).
He will give rest to your soul (Matthew 11:28-30 cp. Isaiah 30:15; 40:11,31).
Do we care? - Psalm 142:7 Christ is the "Good Samaritan." (Luke 10:30-37)
We are to "go and do likewise."
(Be like Him - John 3:17 cp. John 20:21; Romans 8:29) We are to be Watchmen / Ambassadors.
(Ezekiel 33:1-9 cp. Acts 20:26-27; II Corinthians 5:18-20) Care - Prayer - Share (Psalm 126:5-6)
