When we consider the unique position that
Moses held, we can see him in three different categories. Moses was a prophet, declaring
God’s Word. He also was a priest, mediating between God and the people of Israel. Moses
also served as a king, delivering the people from slavery in Egypt and establishing them as a
nation, guided by law. It is in this analysis that we want to compare Moses with Christ.
