Reference: II Timothy 2:1-19

The Christian life requires that we do a lot of remembering (I Corinthians 11:23-26; I Timothy 4:6; II Timothy 1:3-6; 2:14; II Peter I:12-15; 3:1). Sometimes people have totally forgotten something and need to be retold. Other times they just let things slip from their regular thinking and need a little reminder. The best thing is when we actively continue to remember something and do not have to be reminded. That takes diligent effort. There are a lot of things to remember. There are a lot of things that are competing for our attention that are less important, not important, useless, or false. So, we must remember to remember the best things. One of the best things is that Jesus Christ has risen from the dead (II Timothy 2:8 John 14:19)! He is alive! He is coming again! He will bring His reward with Him! He will rule the earth!
