Reference: Psalm 90:1-12

"God is my all-in-all," "God's grace is sufficient," "God is enough," "He is everything to me." Such phrases make lovely songs and placards, but are these thoughts a reality in our soul? Is God really Everything to us? Is He Enough? We are going to consider three things about the totality God in our lives and in our souls for all eternity. No study of God is ever exhaustive, but these are three basic things that will help you in pursuing satisfaction and pleasure with God (Psalm 16; 23; 9: 100).

  • God Is My Home
  • God's Will Is My Food
  • God's Son Is My Life

God Is My Home - Psalm 90

This Psalm is a good place to start. Here is a brief outline of the Psalm:

  • Psalm 90:1 The Presence of God
  • Psalm 90:2, 4 The Eternity of God
  • Psalm 90:3a, 5-10 The Sin & Mortality of Man
  • Psalm 90:3b The Call of God
  • Psalm 90:12-17 The Calf of Man in Response to God
>

God Himself is a dwelling place for man. God is infinite and eternal. He encompasses all time, spac and matter (Psalm 139). There is no time or place (before, during or after our lives) in which God not involved. We came from God and we go to God (Psalm 90:10 cp. Ecclesiastes 3:18-21; 12:7 God explains how we have wandered away from the fellowship and enjoyment of God because of si (Ecclesiastes 7:29; Genesis 3-6; Romans 1:18-32). In Psalm 90:3, God is calling men to "return. That is another way of saying "repent - change the direction of your thinking and desires and corn back to me...come back home." See Isaiah 55:6-7; Acts 17:24-30

Christ has made a way to come back to the Father (John 14:1-6). Through Christ's death an resurrection we can be back-at-home with God (John 14:23; Colossians 3:1-4). When we receiv Christ, The Father receives us (Ephesians 1:6-7; 11 Corinthians 5:17-21). Through Christ, our citizenshi is in heaven (Philippians 3:20). We are seated in heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 2:4-9). We wi go to heaven when we die, but we also have His presence continually, now, to protect, cheer, am guide us (Psalm 31:19-21; 46:1-11; 91:1-16; Hebrews 13:5-6, 20-21).

Don't ignore, neglect, or reject His call (Isaiah 30:15; Matthew 11:28-30).
