Reference: Romans 1:14-32

Many times in Scripture God speaks to us, collectively, as nations, that He might warn us and teach us to work together and do the right thing. God also speaks to us as individuals. Despite what a whole nation might do, or what the whole world might do: we should obey God. In other words, God speaks to mankind and He speaks to man. The book of Romans tells us what God knows of humanity and what He will do with all of us. There are important conditions that He gives us, so that we can know our standing with Him...that is, if we care to know. Those of us who do care have the responsibility to warn those who do not care (II Corinthians 5:18-21).

Romans 1:14-17God's Righteousness is revealed from faith to faith. The Gospel of Christ is God's power to save those who believe.
Romans 1:18-32God's wrath is revealed from Heaven.
 • Romans 1:18-23, 28a- Truth Suppressed.
 • Romans 1:24-32- Lives Disgraced.
Proverbs 14:34Righteousness & Reproach
 • When a nation behaves righteously, the nation is exalted.
 • When people commit sin, it is a reproach / disgrace
Psalm 33:12 a When a nation chooses God's ways, the nation is blessed
Psalm 9:17-20 When a nation forgets God and His ways, the nation with its wicked people shall face death and hell (sheol).
Psalm 33:12 b When God chooses people, He makes them His inheritance.
After we die, God inherits us (Colossians 1:18; I Corinthians 15:22-23; John 14:1-3).

When we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we know that we are chosen of God, in Christ, and accepted for Christ's sake (Ephesians 1:3-7). God's people, through faith in Christ, are called a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar/purchased people (I Peter 2:6-10; Titus 2:11-14).

We are His people, not on the basis of who we are in our first birth, but rather by whom we are in our second birth. It is by His mercy, not our works of righteousness (Titus 3:5-6). Note: I Peter 2:11.
